Some crafts are getting lost; some keep up the tradition
Our goal, as journalists, was to discover craftsmen who produce handmade items at a very small-scale, with very little technological help. We wanted to gather information about the ways these artisans manage to survive in the industrial times and the way they pass their knowledge down from generation to generation. The project in Romania focused more on small artisans and workmen. We visited local markets, but also villages or cities from different regions in Romania, like Brașov, Sibiu, Horezu and Brașov/Sighisoara. The other half of the project took us to Italy.
